These Terms & Conditions outline how Restored Image Counselling (“we,” “our,” “us”) provides services, manages bookings, and governs the use of this website and our counselling programs.
1. Introduction
By accessing our website, booking a counselling or supervision session, or participating in services offered through the REACH Program, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of this website and our services.

3. Scope of Services
Restored Image Counselling provides counselling, clinical supervision, and barrier-free support through the REACH Program. Services include:
- Individual Counselling — in-person, virtual, or on-site when available.
- REACH Counselling (Teachers & University Students) — no-cost care for eligible individuals.
- Clinical Supervision — for counsellors and graduate interns.
We do not provide emergency response, crisis services, or medical/psychiatric diagnosis.
4. Booking Through JaneApp
All clients must create a JaneApp account to book sessions. JaneApp manages appointment scheduling, secure messaging, intake forms, and payment processing. By using JaneApp, you also agree to their terms and privacy policy.
Restored Image Counselling is not responsible for system outages, errors, or technical limitations within JaneApp.
5. Session Fees, Payment & Insurance
5.1 Standard Fees: Session fees are posted in JaneApp and may vary depending on counsellor or service type.
5.2 Payment: Payment is processed after each session through JaneApp using the card on file.
5.3 Insurance: Clients are responsible for confirming reimbursement with their insurance provider. Receipts are provided automatically through JaneApp.
5.4 REACH No-Cost Counselling: Eligible teachers and university students may receive funded sessions through the REACH Program. Eligibility must be verified by the participating school or institution. After REACH-funded sessions are completed, clients may continue privately at regular rates.
6. Cancellation, Rescheduling & Missed Sessions
6.1 24-Hour Cancellation Policy: Clients must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule.
6.2 Missed or Late-Cancelled Sessions:
- Standard clients may be charged the full session fee.
- REACH clients may have the missed session counted toward their funded allotment or be privately billed.
6.3 Illness or Emergencies: Exceptions are at the counsellor’s discretion.
7. Confidentiality & Privacy
All sessions follow BCACC Standards, PIPEDA compliance, and applicable provincial privacy laws. Information shared in counselling is confidential except when disclosure is legally required, including:
- Risk of harm to self or others
- Abuse or neglect of a minor or vulnerable adult
- Court order or subpoena
- Professional regulatory requirements

8. Communication Policies
8.1 Secure Messaging: All client–counsellor communication must occur within JaneApp’s encrypted messaging system.
8.2 Email: Our email ([email protected]) is for administrative purposes only. Do not send clinical or sensitive information.
8.3 Response Times: Messages are typically responded to within 1–2 business days.
8.4 Emergencies: Our team cannot respond to crisis messages. For emergencies, call 911 or your local crisis line immediately.
9. On-Site Counselling Sessions
On-site counselling is available only through approved REACH partnerships with participating schools or institutions. Clients must book an in-person session and message their counsellor afterward to request on-site arrangements, which are not guaranteed.
10. Limitation of Liability
Restored Image Counselling is not liable for any damages arising from website use, technical failures, counselling decisions, service interruptions, or crisis situations. You use our website and services at your own risk.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and applicable federal laws of Canada. Any disputes must be resolved in BC courts or through agreed-upon arbitration.
